Jobs involving routine cognitive tasks—data entry, basic analysis, administrative coordination—are particularly susceptible. When large swathes of the workforce are displaced simultaneously, the consequences ripple through society, creating pressure points that malicious actors can exploit. Economic instability is a primary catalyst for security incidents, from fraud and cybercrime participation to insider threats.
